Jay Leno shared a clip from The Daily Universe on “The Tonight Show” in 1992.
During his first season as host, Leno created a segment called “Headlines,” in which viewers mailed in newspaper clips with bizarre stories, misprints and funny photos.
The clip from The Daily Universe was a reminder about class scheduling changes for President’s Day weekend. The clip confused readers but ultimately made them laugh enough to mail it in.
In case you were wondering, the same scheduling changes are still in effect for this President’s Day weekend. “Monday classes will be Tuesday because Monday classes are cancelled for President’s Day, so Tuesday classes are cancelled to make room for Monday’s Tuesday.”
In simple terms: On Tuesday, please pretend it’s Monday.
