CrossFit is trending now in the fitness world. The workout routine is defined as “constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement” by Greg Glassmen, who developed the system in 2000. There are more than 7,000 “boxes” (gyms) where CrossFitters complete an hour-long class with their box members. The workout includes a warm-up, strength training and an intensive workout of the day (WOD). CrossFit is practiced by both amateur and elite athletes.
