One nation under God?
While in high school I was a member of a service-oriented club called Key Club International. As a yearly holiday tradition we’d organize a project like the donation trees you see in shopping malls. While working on the project, I made the 'mistake' of saying “Merry Christmas” on the forms. I was asked to start the entire project again, this time saying “Happy Holidays” so as to avoid being offensive. I was annoyed. How could a cheerful greeting possibly offend anyone?

Marriage: Destroying friendships
One by one it happens. Marriage shoots its arrows at our friends' hearts and locks them into an eternal separation from their friends. Almost instantly from the temple doors and into the getaway car, we lose our friends as they begin to diminish from our social lives into a more subtle, once-a-quarter basketball game or even the, ‘Hey, I need help moving!’ When we take a moment, we realize that we, as the friends, have been forgotten.

Nobody's perfect
I have been hearing some people harp on guys who aren't clean shaven every day. A year ago I wouldn't have even noticed it, but now I'm passing at least one couple where the young man is chastised.
