Video of the Day: Firefighters rescue man attempting to save dog in dangerous Los Angeles River

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a man who had jumped into the flooding Los Angeles River to save his dog on Monday, Feb. 5. A rescuer was lowered from a helicopter to pull the man back up to safety and transport him to a local hospital. The dog was found and is now being cared for by Los Angeles Animal Services.
