Social media is buzzing after the Oscar Sunday award show. “The Shape of Water”  came out as the big winner of the night with four wins, including Best Picture.

Some other notable wins include “Coco” which won for Best Original Song with “Remember Me” and Best Animated Feature Film; Gary Oldman won Best Actor in a Leading Role for Darkest Hour; Frances McDormand won Best Actress in a Leading Role for “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.”

With this year’s Oscar’s behind us, here is a list of the highest grossing Oscar winning films of all time.

1. Avatar

James Cameron’s 2009 film won three Oscars, including Best Achievement in Cinematography.

2. Titanic

James Cameron won Best Director for this 1997 film. Titanic won 10 other Oscars and received three additional Oscar nominations

3. Frozen

This 2013 Disney film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year.

4. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

Peter Jackson’s 2003 film won 11 Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Music, Original Score.

5. Skyfall

This 2012 “James Bond” movie, featuring music by Adele, won Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song.

6. Toy Story 3

The 2011 Pixar film, and final installment in the Toy Story saga, won Best Animated Feature Film of the Year.

7. Jurassic Park

Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film won an Oscar for Best Sound and Best Effects, Visual Effects.

8. Alice in Wonderland

This 2010 reboot of a Disney Classic, directed by Tim Burton, won an Oscar for Best Achievement in Costume Design.

9. Zootopia

Zootopia won Best Animated Feature Film of the Year in 2016.

10. The Dark Knight

Heath Ledger won Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role. Ledger was awarded the Oscar after his death and is the only actor to win an award in this category after death.

11. The Lion King

Elton John and Tim Rice won the Oscar for Best Music, Original Song for their work on “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” Hans Zimmer also won Best Music, Original Score for his work on the 1994 animated film.
