BYU A cappella club has released a 2014 Best of BYU A capella CD, which features BYU A capella groups Vocal Point, Noteworthy and Beyond Measure, among others.
The CDs are $12 each and are available for purchase by contacting BYU professor John Colton at .
The 2014 Best of BYU A capella CD was produced with the help of Vocal Point’s Scott Shattuck.
The CD features aforementioned groups Vocal Point and Noteworthy, which have both made appearances on ABC’s “The Sing Off.” Both groups have also made several appearances in the ICCAs, made popular by the movie “Pitch Perfect.”
“A capella is the Piano Guys of choir guys,” said BYU A capella club president Kyle Nelson, referring to the popular YouTube duo of Jon Schmidt and Steven Nelson. “There’s something really cool about hearing nine voices in unison.”
