Ballard Spahr, LLP, will host a free public seminar for entrepreneurs and others about venture capital Sept. 11. The seminar is titled “How to Raise Money in Utah” and will be held 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the 8th floor of the Honest Building at 201 South Main Street in Salt Lake City.
Stephen Gustin, a BYU finance student and associate for University Venture Fund, said that venture capital “allows businesses to scale more quickly to get their products more quickly to market. It also benefits Utah’s communities by the fact that it provides jobs.”
