Firetrucks arrive at the MOA Tuesday morning

The Museum of Art fire alarm went off unexpectedly Tuesday morning between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Yvette Arts, the assistant dean of external communications for the Museum of Art , said the fire alarm went off due to an air compressor going out while the pump kept running. The smell of smoke set off the fire alarm.

Although fire trucks were called to the scene, when they arrived they found the museum was not in threat of a fire but it was the smell of the running motor setting off the alarm.
