The Theater Department will hold auditions Wednesday and Thursday for two upcoming plays: George Bernard Shaw?s ?Getting Married,? and Shakespeare?s ?The Two Gentlemen of Verona.?

Regardless of experience, everyone is welcome to try out, said Katie Renville, theater production office assistant.

?Those who are the best will get cast,? Renville said. ?Most of the roles go to theater majors, but we have had some lead roles in the past go to non-theater majors.?

Renville said students wanting to try out for ?Getting Married? should come prepared with both a dramatic and comedic monologue.

Students should also prepare for the auditions by dressing in comfortable clothes for movement, reading the play and arriving early to fill out paperwork prior to the audition, Renville said.

Those interested in auditioning can sign up outside room F-515 in the HFAC.

?Getting Married? opens in the Margetts Theatre Oct. 26, and ?The Two Gentlemen of Verona? opens Nov. 9 in the Pardoe Theatre.

More audition opportunities will be held in October for the musical production of ?Aida.?
