Demolition on the Widtsoe Building began May 21. The Widtsoe Building, completed in 1970, was named after John A. Widtsoe, apostle, leading scientist in agriculture and soil chemistry and great friend to BYU.

Utah State Office of Education revises seclusion and restraint rules

Utah State Office of Education has amended Utah Administrative Rule R277-609 which prohibits the seclusion or restraint of a child for disciplinary purposes and is only permissible if the student is a danger to themselves or others.
