Good in the Universe

Nic Carroll sits in an office in Provo. Although he looks like an average employee wearing a t-shirt and glasses and sporting two tattoo sleeves, Carroll is not an average employee.

BYU alumna and entrepreneur Kylie Chenn loves traveling the world and learning about the people around her. During her undergraduate degree in business at BYU, Chenn spent time studying abroad. Her time abroad inspired her to found Acanela Expeditions.

SALT LAKE CITY — Block letters declaring unity emblazoned across a bold orange screen welcomed thousands into the LDS Conference Center on June 1. The words declared were from the Doctrine and Covenants which said, "I say unto you be one." The inscription was the powerful theme for the evening, proven again and again as performers and speakers took to the stage celebrating the contributions of black Mormons.

Shaylie Fawcett, a senior at BYU studying public relations, recently began an internship with the Los Angeles Dodgers. She has years of competitive baton twirling experience and runs her own business selling clothing for young twirlers.

Bill Wright, the third of 13 kids, said not only did his parents have 13 kids, but his grandfather and his great-grandfather had 13 kids too. "As far as I know that’s how it goes," Bill said.
