Scientists: No way to know when Hawaii eruption will end

Officials said that the flow of lava from the Kilauea volcano is still very active and they are unsure when the eruption will end or if more lava-spewing vents will open. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed in the past two days since more lava poured into the low-laying coastal Hawaii neighborhoods. Hawaii County Mayor Harry Kim said lava has destroyed more than 600 homes since early last month.

A Kim Jong Un lookalike by the name Howard X was detained and questioned by police for about two hours in Singapore on Friday. His arrival occurred just days before a summit between the North Korean leader and U.S. President Donald Trump. The impersonator was in the city-state for promotional reasons. He said police looked through his bags and asked if he had been involved in protests around the world, including those by pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong.

Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain found dead in France at 61

American TV celebrity and food writer Anthony Bourdain, 61, was found dead from an apparent suicide. The celebrity chef was working on his CNN series on culinary traditions in France when fellow chef and friend Eric Ripert discovered him unresponsive in his hotel room Friday.
