BYU is encouraging students to get vaccinated before fall semester and will be implementing “vaccine-appreciation rewards” to students who show their immunization card.

“BYU is strongly encouraging all students, faculty and staff to receive a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible to protect our campus community from a COVID-19 outbreak,” a University Communications email said.

BYU is preparing for a traditional fall semester with in-person class at full capacity. Students are not required to wear masks or socially distance, unless there are changes in COVID-19 trends.

Non-vaccinated students have until July 23 to get their first shot of two-dose vaccines to be fully vaccinated before the start of fall semester, the email said.

BYU students can get vaccinated at various locations around Provo including the former Provo High School building and the BYU Student Health Center.
