Baby animals celebrate their new life

The annual Baby Animal Birthday Party at Thanksgiving Point began on May 30.

The celebration of the new animal life, located at Thanksgiving Point’s Farm Country, included baby bunnies, calves, kids, lambs, piglets and chicks.

Thanksgiving Point’s website invited guests to “get up close with the baby animals and help name them, take a ride on the wagon, cow train or the back of a pony, play some birthday party games and enjoy a slice of cake.”

Visitors were also able to enjoy activities such as piñatas, storytelling, a milk jug knock down, pig troughs and a duckling pond.

“This was a really fun event for my kids because they are absolutely in love with little animals. It was fun to see their excitement running around the place,” said Mackenzie Adams, from Lindon.

The event was targeted to families with young children, but visitors of all ages joined in on the many birthday festivities, including college students.

“Even though I didn’t have little kids with me, it was still fun to be here and see all the fun things going on,” said Jessica Smith, from Fresno, California.
