Salt Lake City has numerous tourist attractions that appeal to college students, but there’s no need to break the bank to go downtown.
Visit Salt Lake is offering a Connect Pass for those who want to receive big discounts on the best attractions in Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas. The pass offers 45 to 80 percent off on 13 venues, including the Clark Planetarium, The Lion House Pantry Restaurant and the Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort.

“You can be really ambitious with the pass,” Barnes said. “It’s a great deal if you want to see the high-quality attractions that are representative of Salt Lake City.”
The Connect Pass is available as a one-, two- or three-day pass or as a 365 consecutive day pass. The pass is activated the first time it is used and remains active for the number of consecutive days purchased.
Melissa Gurr, a recent exercise science graduate from Salt Lake City, said when she goes home she enjoys visiting some of the city’s main attractions. One is Hogle Zoo, where one admission with the Connect Pass is free.
“It sounds like a great idea for a date,” Gurr said. “College students are always looking for discounts and if you’re going to visit those places, it sounds like a great deal.”
Pass holders may visit as many attractions as they like while the pass is active, but are limited to only one visit at each participating attraction.
The Connect Pass can be purchased online, directly at the Salt Lake Visitors Information Center, from participating area hotels or through many tour operator partners. Group rates are available for groups of 20 or more.
