    Outstanding Warrant

    A man was arrested at the Smith Field House and Zion’s Bank parking lot on campus for an outstanding warrant involving a traffic violation. In checking the male student’s background, the officer found that he had a Failure to Appear Warrant for his arrest, for failing to appear in court for a previous traffic violation. The arrest occurred June 9.

    Theft

    A laptop was stolen from an office in the N. Eldon Tanner Building sometime between June 3 and June 7. The Dell D600 model laptop, valuing $2,000, was reported stolen on June 7.

    Two works of art were stolen from the Harris Fine Arts Center’s display on June 5. The artist is a female student whose art is valued at $200 a piece. The same student’s art was vandalized earlier in the week.

    A student’s wallet was stolen out of the James E. Talmage Computer Building lab on June 2. Credit cards, a license and other personal items were stolen. There are no suspects at this time.

    Arson-Reckless Burning

    A male student set a patch of grass on fire at the Helaman Halls dorms on June 5. The reckless burning covered a 20-foot by 25-foot area. Reckless burning charges are pending.

    Criminal Mischief

    A female student’s art was vandalized in the Harris Fine Arts Center on June 2. Two works of art, worth $400, were vandalized. There are no suspects at this time.

    Suspicious Behavior

    A man followed a female student leaving the Wilkinson Student Center at 11:30 p.m. on June 2. The man began following the female student as she was walking home, so the student went to a nearby friend’s residence and the man left. The man was described as six feet tall, short brown hair, weighing 210 pounds and somewhere between 25-30 years old.
