“The Lord Thy God Will Hold Thy Hand”

Elder Zwick said that no matter what age or circumstance, members all have need to know that they have power in the present and hope in the future.

“To be in the hands of God would suggest that we are not only under his watchful care, but also that we are guarded and protected by his wondrous power,” Elder Zwick said.

He said people all have moments of difficulty and heartbreak and, occasionally, they are so difficult they will want to give up.

“These are times when our steps are unsteady; when we feel discouraged and even reach out in desperation,” Elder Zwick said.

Elder Zwick said each person needs to know they can go on in the strength of the Lord.

“We can put our hand in His and we will feel His sustaining presence lift us to heights unattainable alone,” he said.

Elder Zwick urged members to give themselves freely to the Lord, so their burdens will be lifted and their hearts will be consoled.

He gave four keys to help Church members learn to trust in the Lord: learn, listen, seek the spirit and pray always.

“Trust in His promise of eternal life and allow peace and hope to distill upon you,” Elder Zwick said.
