Many students vaguely know about the atrocious and under-publicized massacre of innocent men, women and children in Algeria. Some may also be aware that torture, wrongful imprisonment and the “disappearance” of innocent men, women and children happen all over the world. These things are not easy to talk about, especially since it seems like there is nothing we can do about it.
I am writing to say that there is something we can do, and Amnesty International makes that possible.
