UK’s May has eye on rebellion as EU prepares for Brexit push

The U.K. is moving forward with the draft agreement that would end its membership in the European Union. The agreement doesn’t come without controversy — two Cabinet ministers resigned to protest the agreement and lawmakers are seeking support for a no-confidence vote.

Democratic senators sue over Whitaker’s appointment as AG

Three Democratic senators sued over the appointment of Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker by President Donald Trump. The senators argue the appointment is unconstitutional and are asking a federal judge to remove Whitaker from the position. The Justice Department, on the other hand, argues Whitaker’s appointment does not have to be approved by the Senate as it is only an acting capacity.
