Intermountain Healthcare and SCL Health officially merged on April 6. The two organizations now share clinical, operational and financial resources.
Intermountain Healthcare and SCL Health announced their plans to merge into one system in September 2021.
The new organization’s headquarters are in Salt Lake City.
The new combined organization spans Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Kansas. The new organization is still called Intermountain Healthcare and remains not-for-profit.
Intermountain Healthcare is the largest healthcare provider in the intermountain west, now operating with 33 hospitals. The merge will not affect patients’ insurance, appointments or billing.
