Get ready for a magical night out — on your sofa.
Geffen Playhouse presents a hit magic show over Zoom, where 25 families at a time can attend a magical night out via Zoom.
“There is no show, but we need magic in our lives,” says magician Helder Guimaraes.
The show is hosted by magician Helder Guimaraes, who is a sleight of hand magician, trickster, deceiver and storyteller.
“The Present” had its first show back in May and was extended three times. The grand finale, which took place last Saturday, concluded after 251 sold out shows and 70 total buyouts.
After grossing over $700,000, Zoom may be the new successful way to continuously spread magic while staying inside.
The show is filmed from magician Helder Guimaraes’ home, and the families tune in from home with a “mystery box” that is mailed to them before the show, included with the purchase of the ticket.
This box contains props that will allow you to engage with the show from the comfort of your living room.
Guimaraes warns us to “stay home, stay safe,” but don’t forget to include that little bit of magic in your life.
