Five new LDS temples announced at General Conference

President Thomas S. Monson announced at the Sunday morning session of General Conference that five new temples will be built.

The temples will be built in Brasília, Brazil; Saratoga Springs, Utah; Nairobi, Kenya; Pocatello, Idaho; and the greater Manila area in the Philippines.

With the announcement of the new temples, the total number of temples announced or being constructed is now 27, according to Mormon Newsroom. The total number of operating temples and temples announced or under construction worldwide is now 182.
