BYU quarterback Taysom Hill announced that he will changing his jersey number for the 2016-17 season to honor his late brother.
Hill tweeted on May 12 that he will switch numbers from No. 4 to No. 7 to honor his brother Dexter, who passed away on March 25. Dexter was 31-years-old.

Hill has thrown for 4,606 yards and rushed for 2,212 yards in his career. He has a combined 55 touchdowns. He is currently in a position battle with sophomore Tanner Mangum, who led the Cougars to a 9-4 record last season after replacing Hill.
The Cougars’ season begins on Sept. 3 against Arizona at University of Phoenix Stadium.
