Utah has the highest number of temples in its state, with 17 on the list. Three temples are either under construction or still in blueprint form. The Payson Temple will be the next completed temple, with an open house beginning April 24, 2015. The Provo City Center Temple will be completed late 2015-early 2016, and the Cedar City Temple was announced January 2015.
The number and proximity of the temples in Utah make it possible to easily visit three or more temples in one day, whether it be going inside or walking around the grounds. For those attending General Conference from out of state, this can be a fun vacation bucket list item that would be difficult to achieve anywhere else.
