Utah Highway Patrol said David Morgan died in a crash that happened a little after noon Wednesday east of Woodland in Summit County.

Troopers say Morgan and another tourist who was also vacationing from England were driving their motorcycles onto the wrong side of State Route 35 when a truck approached. Vehicles in England drive on the left side of the road instead of the right.

One of the motorcyclists swerved out of the way, but one was hit. Troopers say both the truck and motorcycle went down a steep, 100-foot embankment.

The motorcyclist died on scene.

The truck driver was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition.
