BYU swim to face off against UNLV

Saturday, Nov. 9, BYU’s men and women’s swimming and diving team will face off against UNLV at the Richards pool.
Last time the Cougars faced off against the Rebels the men were barely defeated 156.6-143.5 and the women’s team was defeated 163-137.

“The Rebels are very noble opponents and we embrace the competition from both men and women, “BYU head coach John Brooks said. “They are a hard-working, very well-coached team. Last year it came down to the final relay for our men.”

Nicholas Suder is geared up to repeat his wins against UNLV after winning the multiple diving events last year. Jordan Fletcher, Hayden Palmer, Hailey Campbell and Kimberly Doroghian will lead the Cougars against the Rebels and keep up their spectacular performance in the pool.

BYU men’s team is especially eager to prove their strength against UNLV after the Rebels took first in the last Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. Because the Rebels changed conference competition, this is the Cougars only chance to redeem their earlier loss.
