LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say they’re looking for two men who apparently dressed as Mormon missionaries and asked a man to talk about religion before robbing him at gunpoint.
Police released home surveillance photos of two men they believe robbed the man the evening of June 27 at a home near the intersection of Flamingo Road and South Buffalo Drive, in the southwest part of the Las Vegas valley.
The victim told police a pair of men dressed in white dress shirts and black slacks knocked on his door and asked to speak about religion. Police say the victim spoke with the men for about five minutes before they jumped him, punched him and stole property at gunpoint.
Sgt. Andrew Pennucci says he couldn’t speculate whether the men were legitimate missionaries.
