Threats from North Korea of a nuclear strike may have weight behind them as a newly released report shows missiles may have the capacity to deliver nuclear warheads.

Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colo., said a new report, though not very reliable, shows North Korea has the capacity to deliver nuclear weapons via ballistic missiles.

“Quoting from the unclassified portion, which I believe has not yet been made public, they say, quote, ‘DIA assesses with moderate confidence the North currently has nuclear weapons capable of delivering by ballistic missiles. However, the reliability will be low.'” Lamborn told Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, who was testifying before the committee.

Gen. Dempsey was caught off guard and said he had no comment considering the unreliability of the report.
