BYU rugby blew out Snow College in a 91–0 victory bringing the Cougars’ overall record to 7–2.

The scoring streak started early with a converted score in the first 15 seconds of the game. The BYU pressure continued with 8 more trys tallied up in the half to a 57–0 score. Although the Cougars B Team played the majority of the game, the second half didn’t change. BYU racked up another six trys in the second half ending the game 91–0.

“The boys played pretty well,” senior captain Ryan Roundy said. “They don’t get much time to play throughout the season, so today’s performance was really good to see.”

BYU’s defense had its first shut out all season, and on the offensive side, BYU scored a huge 91 points which ties the season-high.

BYU continues its home games Saturday with a game against Southern Utah University. This will be an opportunity for the starters to get some playing time, which they haven’t had in almost two weeks.

“We are focused on better execution,” BYU assistant coach Wayne Tarawhiti said. “We hope we are able to execute things properly and play good rugby.”

The teams kickoff at 1:00 p.m. on South Field Saturday, March 23. Tickets can be bought at the gate.
