Fans of the popular specialty-food store Trader Joe's will finally get their wish when the company opens the doors to its first in-state store in Salt Lake City on Nov. 30.
The California-based company is known for its large selection of gourmet and organic food, as well as the eye-catching Hawaiian shirts worn by employees.
According to the company's website, Trader Joe's seeks to stock its stores with 'innovative, hard-to-find, great-tasting foods.'
Alison Mochiziku, spokesperson for Trader Joe's, expressed the company's excitement for the new store.
'Salt Lake City is a wonderful community filled with foodies, and we feel it is a wonderful fit for us,' Mochiziku said.
Unfortunately for fans further south, there are no plans currently in the works for more stores in the state, but Mochiziku believes Trader Joe's will be in Utah for a while.
'We look forward to meeting our neighbors and hope to be a wonderful addition to the community for years to come,' she said.
The 12,700-square-foot store will be located at 634 E. 400 South in Salt Lake City. Store hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
