Tuesday, Aug. 2

  • Campus Devotional: Janet Bradford of the Harold B. Lee Library will give the university Devotional at 11:05 in the de Jong Concert Hall. The address will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and at byub.org.  Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.
  • $2 Tuesdays: Thanksgiving Point is offering $2 admission every Tuesday in August to its most popular venues:  Museum of Ancient Life (Dinosaur Museum), Farm Country, Children’s Discovery Garden and Thanksgiving Point Gardens. Guests of any age pay only $2 and children under two receive free admission.
  • National Night Out Against Crime: The Provo Police Department is hosting a National Night Out Against Crime from 6-8 p.m. at Kiwanis Park, at 820 North and 1100 East. There will be games for children and free food for all ages. Visitors can also register their bikes for free at the event and get to know local law enforcement officials.

Wednesday, Aug. 3

  • Brigham’s Yard Sale: The Student Activities Board is sponsoring Brigham’s Yard Sale, a yard sale to give students and spouses a chance to sell their things and make some cash. Students are able to purchase booths for just $5 to sell their items and are welcome to sell old things or homemade types of things like jewelry or paintings. Sellers will keep everything they make from the sale. Students can purchase a booth at the WSC Info Desk (students must bring the receipt to 3400 WSC to pick their spot). Thursday, Aug. 4

  • Farmers Market: More than 25 booths featuring locally grown produce, baked goods and crafts will be available during the second Brigham Young University LaVell Edwards Stadium Farmers Market. The market runs from 3-8 p.m. in the Stadium South Parking Lot.

Friday, Aug. 5

  • Senior Dance Showcase: Seniors from the Department of Dance will perform at the Senior Dance Showcase, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Stephen L. Richards Building dance studio. The dancers will showcase the best of what they have learned and developed during their BYU experience. Tickets are $6. The event also runs Saturday at the same time.

Monday, Aug. 8

  • Last day of summer term classes.
