The women”s tennis team will be in Indiana today to take on No. 12 Notre Dame in the Fighting Irish”s home opener.

The Cougars are trying to bounce back from last week”s two close road losses.

This week in practice, coach Craig Manning said he feels the team has been “stepping it up” with members of the team focusing on improving the execution of specific parts of their game.

“I”m excited to see what we can do in a match situation against Notre Dame because practice this last week has been really good,” Manning said.

Notre Dame also had a tough last week on the road losing to No. 23 Michigan .

Two Cougar pairs will go into the match with a 4-0 doubles record including senior duo Anastasia Surkova and Jennifer Miccoli. Senior Dolly Chang and sophomore Kristin Doerr are the other undefeated pair.

The Cougars will return to Provo the weekend of February 14 to host both No.42 Boise State and Texas Tech.
