Oregon State to Visit Provo for 2008 Baseball



    Two-time defending national champion Oregon State highlights the just-released 2008 BYU baseball schedule.

    The Cougars host OSU on March 24-25 and also have a pair of home games against Kansas State and Washington State. Additionally, BYU travels to the University of Washington and to Oral Roberts University for a pair of three-game series.

    BYU also will be playing tough non-conference opponents in the Banana Belt Tournament and the Sacramento State Tournament.

    The 21-game home schedule starts on March 11 with the first of three games against Utah Valley University and includes a non-conference game with the University of Utah on April 8. The Cougars play home and away series in the Mountain West Conference with the Air Force Academy and San Diego State.

    TCU and New Mexico are also on BYU’s home schedule, with UNLV and Utah as league series on the road. The season is scheduled to begin on Feb. 22 with a two-game series at the University of Portland.
