BYU has received three more football commitments for the class of 2008, according to the Scout.com recruiting Web site.
The latest verbals bring to 12 the number of commitments the Cougars have secured.
The latest commitments come from Jesse Taufi, a 6-foot-5, 340-pound offensive tackle from Long Beach JC in Long Beach, Calif.; Masi Tuitama, a 6-2, 205-pound linebacker from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, Calif.; and Michael Alisa, a 6-2, 210-pound linebacker from Timpview High in Provo.
According to Scout.com, which ranks recruits on a 1- to 5-star basis, Taufi is a three-star recruit while the other two are one-star prospects.
