Mountain Star Blood Services, a blood collection agency that supplies blood to 12 hospitals in Utah, prepares for its grand opening Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006.
Food and prizes will be supplied at the ribbon cutting, which will begin at noon with the Utah Chamber of Commerce, said Derek Miller, a Mountain Star representative.
All the blood donated through Mountain Star is given only to Utah hospitals.
“We are trying to increase excitement about donating blood,” Miller said. “I think it”s important for people to know that if they donate blood with us it will stay in Utah.”
Mountain Star is located at 152 West and Bulldog, right across the street from Provo High School”s track.
