    Devotional: Edward Blaser from Performing Arts Management will speak at 11 a.m. for a campus Devotional in the de Jong Concert Hall. With the title, “The World is Our Stage,” Blaser will discuss how BYU performing groups have traveled the world since the 1950s and opened doors through their testimonies in music, song and dance.     Lecture Kishore C. Dash, an assistant professor in the Department of Global Business at Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management, will speak on “Doing Business in India Today: McDonald’s Experience Entering the Indian Market” at a Global Awareness Lecture at noon in 238 HRCB.

    Support Group Loved Ones of Men with Pornography Problems offered by Women’s Services will be offered every Wednesday through Aug. 30 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in 1040 WSC.

    Thursday 11

    Self Defense Classes offered by Women’s Services will teach practical skills for women of all sizes and at all fitness levels. The classes are free and will be offered from 5 to 6 p.m. in 3223 WSC.

    Friday 12

    Lecture Frank R. Baker, British counselor on foreign and security policy at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., will speak on “UK-U.S. Relations” at noon in 238 HRCB.

    Dollar Night “Casablanca” will be shown at the Varsity Theatre Dollar Night at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets at the WSC info desk.

    Music Festival The Deseret Chamber Music Festival is Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall. Tickets: $14 festival pass, $7 or $5 for seniors and students for individual performances.

    Museum Exhibit The BYU Museum of Peoples and Cultures will host its annual “Utah Prehistory and Heritage Celebration” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with an open house and block party. As part of the celebration, activities include museum tours, storytelling, dancing, ceramics and rock art. Admission is free to all events.

    Up With the Stars The Smiling Souls Band will be featured at a night of dance and entertainment at Up With the Stars at 7 p.m. in the WSC Ballroom. For more information, visit the BYU Alumni Web site.
