The Brigham Young University Rugby plays its first home tonight against UVSC.

?We haven?t lost against UVSC before,? BYU head coach Jared Akenhead said. ?We?re hoping to win. We should win.?

BYU played the University of Utah two weeks ago and had an unfortunate loss. The team hopes to improve to avoid future losses.

?We?re hoping for a win and also the opportunity to get better and work on mistakes from a few weeks ago,? Akenhead said. ?We?re looking for improvements across everyone, the whole team.?

The team also hopes to dominate the game early and set the pace for the game Akenhead said.

?We?re looking at this game to create the discipline for the game plan and for everyone to stay with the game plan,? Akenhead said.

UVSC has a small program; however, the team?s players work very hard and are determined to win.

?They play with a lot of aggression,? Akenhead said. ?It?s never a walk in the park. We definitely have to play well and do our best.?

Although the Cougar?s current record is 0-1, they are unofficially ranked third in the country.

?We?re excited to have our first home game in a while,? Akenhead said. ?We?re hoping the crowd comes out and supports us.?

The game is at 7 p.m. at the Helaman field. Tickets are $4 with a student ID and $5 without.
