As a fan, I was not disappointed by the women’s basketball team Saturday night. But I will be disappointed if the Marriott Center is empty for their well deserved homecoming next month. Saturday in Portland the ladies put up a nice fight against the Oregon Ducks, a big, tough team playing essentially on a home floor. Our ladies played fighting colds, injuries, and road fatigue, and held the Ducks off until the final minute.
When three of your starters are sick or injured, you’ve played three road games in three states in five days, and you hang with a tough team until the final minute, you?re team is worth watching.
ESPN has started to notice our ladies; we should give them the support they deserve.
And ladies, save me a front row seat for Dec. 30.
