Mary Williams, associate professor in the School of Nursing, will speak at the Devotional on Tuesday, July 17, at 11 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.
Williams will speak on knowing God and being known of God.
“As we come to know God and Christ, it has the power to change our lives,” Williams said.
“When I spend time to get to know them, it makes a difference,” Williams said.
Williams is a member of the Utah Nurses” Association, the American Nurses” Association and the American Heart Association.
She has done lectures, workshops and conferences about nursing, with an emphasis on heart transplantation.
Williams has had articles published in professional journals such as Community Nursing Research and the Journal of Professional Nursing.
Williams received a bachelor degree from BYU, a master degree from University of Utah and a doctorate from the University of Arizona.
Williams has been teaching at BYU since 1978.
Today”s Devotional at 11:00 a.m. will also be broadcast live on KBYU-TV and KBYU-FM 89.1. The Devotional will be rebroadcast on KBYU-TV on July 22 at 6 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
