Member of Seventy to speak at Devotional

    Elder Dennis B. Neuenschwander, member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will speak at the Devotional Tuesday at 11 a.m., in the de Jong Concert Hall.

    The Devotional will be broadcast live at 11 a.m. on KBYU-TV (Channel 11) and KBYU-FM (89.1).

    Elder Neuenschwander will speak on “Knowing what you believe, believing what you know.”

    Elder Neuenschwander was sustained a as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy in 1994. He now serves in the Utah South Area and has had the opportunity to serve in the Europe East Area and the Europe Area.

    Elder Neuenschwander served as mission president of the Austria Vienna Mission in 1987. Upon completing his service, the First Presidency asked Elder and Sister Neuenschwander to stay an additional year and direct the missionary efforts in Bulgaria, Romania, Yugoslavia and parts of the former Soviet Union.

    A native of Salt Lake City, Elder Neuenschwander has been a Russian instructor at BYU and the University of Utah. He has also worked in the church’s Genealogical Department and the department’s International Acquisitions Division.
