    Suspicious

    Monday, unknown subjects cut a screen and entered into a bathroom of the Knight Mangum Building. It is not known if anything was taken. University Police request that if anyone has seen suspicious conduct, to contact the investigation section.

    Theft

    On Sept. 22 in the Earth Science Museum, several one dollar bills were taken from the donation box. The total loss is approximately $5 to $8.

    Thursday Sept. 25 in parking lot 16 by the JKHB a CD player and several CDs were taken from a vehicle owned by a member of the staff or faculty.

    On Monday an unlocked bicycle was stolen from a driveway near the south side of the old UVSC property. The bike is a blue 21-speed Schwinn Shogun. The bike was valued at $80 and the victim is a visitor.

    On Sept. 29, a student reported his specialized Rock Hopper bike stolen between June 20 and 21 from the Wymount Terrace 13-D area.

    On Tuesday Sept. 30 a pair of sunglasses were stolen from a backpack stored in a janitor’s closet on the second floor of he ELWC. The estimated value is $200. The victim is a visitor.

    Attempted Auto Burglary

    Several witnesses reported seeing a juvenile attempting to break into a car at the old UVSC property. Officers responded, and the juvenile was identified, banned from the main campus, and referred to juvenile authorities.

    Arrests

    Friday an officer observed a subject slumped over the steering wheel of his car parked outside the LDS Motion Picture Studio. The officer found that man had several outstanding warrants. He was arrested and taken to Utah County Jail.

    Information Report

    A student contacted University Police because her ex-boyfriend, who previously threatened to kill her has made contact with her. The ex-boyfriend is in the area and has been released from prison.

    Lost Property

    Thursday, Sept. 25 in the JKHB a media service employee discovered a hand-held radio missing after delivering audio visual equipment. The radio is described as a MX810 Motorola valued at $1,700. The BYU inventory tag reads 191428. If found please contact the University Police.

    Fire

    Tuesday a fire was found near the elevator on the fifth floor of the ELWC. The small fire in the insulation was caused by sparks and heat from the construction.

    Disorderly Conduct

    A report of disorderly conduct occurred Tuesday at the DT swimming pool. Three male sunbathers were wearing swim shorts that were too large. They were asked to pull-up their swimsuits. Residents from V-Hall began to yell from their windows to pull-up their pants. The males ignored the requests and instead one stood up and pulled his shorts down to his knees exposing his buttocks. The males were issued a citation and referred to the Honor Code Office.

    Illegal soliciting

    An individual was passing out fliers near the Benson Building Friday. This violates university policy if the fliers are not approved. The fliers were announcing an inappropriate activity. It seemed the male was giving fliers only to females as they walked by. The officers were unable to find the individual.

    Criminal Mischief

    Two male students dropped an office chair — covering it with mud, from the walkway bridge on the east side of the Richards Building Friday. Action is pending based on the cost of repair and cleaning.

    Saturday at 12:00 a.m., four victims reported they were hit by an unknown object coming from a blow gun, from a car, on East Campus Dr. Three males were in the car. One victim was hit on the head, causing a lump and a headache. Another suffered broken wounds on the hip and arm. The license plate number was identified and leads are still under investigation.

    Medical

    Friday a client at the barbershop passed out in the barber chair. He was unconscious for two minutes. The patient is a student. The cause is unknown, and he has no medical history.

    On Sunday in the JKHB an male was found unconscious. Officers arrived and the patient was conscious and breathing.

    In A530 HFAC on Monday a female collapsed and fell unconscious. She was revived and no medical action was taken.
