A week after watching the BYU men’s tennis team defeat the University of Utah, the women’s tennis team will host the rival at the indoor tennis courts Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

“We’ve just been trying to prepare mentally and not worry about what’s going on around us,” BYU coach Lauren Jones-Spencer said. “We just need to focus on our game and execute.”

The Cougars (5–1) returned from Las Vegas last weekend with their first loss of the season to nationally-ranked UNLV on Friday and a win against Iowa State on Saturday. BYU also has picked up all six doubles points against opposition this season and will look to continue that trend against Utah on Saturday.

Utah is 4–2 on the season and have beaten the Cougars the last three meetings.

Utah’s Tereza Bekerova comes into the match ranked No. 79 in the country. She and doubles partner Paige Miles are ranked No. 17 in the Mountain Region.

Admission to the match is free and pizza will be provided for fans.
