It’s finally Election Day, and that means Utahns are voting at polling places statewide, but only after waiting in long lines.

Twenty thousand seats! You’d think that would be large enough for any audience, but there are still millions who miss out on the music of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City each Sunday.

Thousand of honks could be heard in Pleasant Grove this weekend, but it wasn't because of traffic issues. The Christa Mcauliffe Space Center in Central Elementary School is closed after 22 years, and people are working to spread the word.

People here in Utah with families on the East Coast are hoping for the best as hurricane Sandy roars ashore. Many students at BYU are from the East Coast and are in close contact with loved ones back home. BYU junior Alex Rogers has family in Virginia and although they say they are safe, she is still concerned. 'I am a little worried because of how many trees are back home...it's pretty easy for them to fall down and hit roads or cars or the houses, so hopefully the winds won't be too bad,' says Rogers.

Last week, BYU administration announced that tuition would raise starting fall semester 2013. According to a press release by the university, “Brigham Young University will implement a three-percent increase across all tuition categories.” That calculates to an increase of 70 dollars per semester for full time LDS students.
