Blog: Have you ever forgotten where you parked your car?

October 17, 2012 12:00 AM
Finding your car in a parking lot can be a difficult task.Picture this: you leave the mall, walk outside in the direction you thought you parked your car and then realize you are completely disoriented and can't remember where you parked. You wander around aimlessly for a moment or two before either setting off the alarm to find it, or searching up and down the aisles to find a car with your same color and model. Who hasn't done that? Now, imagine you don't find your car. No, better yet — you won't find your car foranother two years!

October 09, 2012 12:00 AM
As citizens of the United States of America, we have a civic responsibility and privilege to exercise our right to vote for the next President in this year's election. Our founding fathers and many national leaders since them have fought to provide and protect this democracy so that we might have a say in government.

Blog: Coffee consumption may cause blindness

October 08, 2012 12:00 AM
In the past month, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints caused commotion by clarifying a statement made in The Word of Wisdom related to caffeine, and said its usage was not prohibited by the church. Although within Mormon culture it has often been considered against The Word of Wisdom to drink Coke, Pepsi or other caffeinated beverages, the statement led members to assume that it was actually acceptable.

Highlights from the Olympics opening ceremony

July 28, 2012 12:00 AM
The 30th Olympic Summer Games began with a British bang. It didn't have the militaristic brilliance of Bejing, or the historic sentimentality of Athens. London's opening ceremony was whimsical but inspirational; making you raise your eyebrows at times, but enjoy it all the same.

What is daylight savings doing to you?

March 16, 2012 12:00 AM
If you are anything like me, this past week it has been nearly impossible to get out of bed. Losing that one hour on Saturday night followed me all the way to Friday. How is that possible? It is only one hour! But we all know that the difference between getting up at 6 a.m. and getting up at 5 a.m. is a big one.

Blog: IP's gray area on the Web

March 13, 2012 12:00 AM
As students, we are used to being reminded multiple times each semester not to steal content written or produced by others and present it as our own. Plagiarism can be done accidentally (when the student in question doesn't cite their source correctly) or on purpose (when the student uses material they didn't create and intentionally presents it as their own).
