It's been a long time coming for 27 year old rookie, and former BYU star, Daniel Schneemann. After being drafted in the 33rd round of the 2018 MLB draft, Schneeman patiently waited for his time to play on the big stage. That time finally came on Sunday when Schneemann's Guardians hosted the Washington Nationals.

Kansas City Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie will start tonight against the San Francisco Giants in game 7 of the World Series. Guthrie, 35, attended BYU for his freshman year and went on his mission to Spain in 1999. After his mission, he transferred to Stanford University and went on to be drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 2002.

It was the bottom of the 9th. The bases were loaded. The Rangers were down by four with two outs. My breath caught as David Murphy hit the ball deep into left field. It went up, up, up and then just like that their playoff run was over in just one game. For the third year in a row the Texas Rangers have shined in the regular season and then come up short in the playoffs.
