Ben Stewart became the first person to hike up and down Kilimanjaro in Tanzania walking only backward. Stewart touched the Mweka gate sign on Feb. 14, marking an end of his eight-day journey. Stewart’s trek raised money for the British Heart Foundation, honoring his grandpa who had died of a heart attack.

Fall Colors along the Alpine Loop

Just a few miles up Provo Canyon is the Alpine Loop, a 20 mile stretch of road that takes you into the Uinta National Forest. Fall is the most popular time of year to travel the road. Red, green, and yellow paint the landscape as leaves change color. Joggers of the loop say they enjoy this time most of all.
