Students choose shoe comfort over style
BYU nursing student Emma Clyde looked outside her bedroom window in January and saw snow falling heavily all over campus. So, she put on her heaviest and most durable snow boots instead of the suede booties she was hoping to wear.

BYU students reflect on best and worst fashion trends
BYU students explained the worst fashion trend they have followed. The offenses included gauchos, animal print shirts, bell-bottom jeans and massive flower headbands. Students also said they would like to see blue eyeshadow, mullets and mustaches come back in style. Trends they wish would go out of style include tight jeans, joggers and socks with sandals.

Leggings and pants: The neverending debate
The leggings-pants debate seems like the chicken-and-egg debate, yet people still want to offer fashion opinions on this topic. Aren't we done talking about this? Many BYU students have been turned away from the Testing Center for wearing leggings, and this style choice may be a larger Honor Code discussion in the future.

DIY modest alterations for summer
As temperatures rise, so do hem lines. Most people have a pile of neglected clothing in the corner of their closet because of wrong size, poor fit, an old favorite that's just immodest enough to feel uncomfortable wearing or it has gone out of style. The majority if not all of these items just need a little tweaking and they will be better than new. If you never wear it anyway, make it a project, you have nothing to lose. Let's start with lengthening a skirt or dress.
