This past weekend a heavy winter storm led to an avalanche in Little Cottonwood Canyon on Saturday, Jan. 4. State Road 210 was closed throughout Saturday and Sunday morning as UDOT avalanche mitigation and road operations were completed. Snowbird Resort and Alta Ski Area in Little Cottonwood Canyon reported 20 inches of snowfall from the storm.
