Photo Story: New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation kicked off Thursday morning with thousands of incoming first-year students. Orientation is a three-day event, helping new students become familiar with BYU campus and make new friends. The first day of events began with a convocation at the Marriott Center, followed by a lunch, get-to-know-you games, a tour of select campus buildings, an introduction to campus resources, and the 'You are the Y' event on the field by Heritage Halls. Planned for Friday is a devotional at the Marriott Center, another tour of campus buildings and a selection of Friday night events to choose from, including bowling, a scavenger hunt, the women's volleyball game and a movie showing through BYU International Cinema. Saturday night will also include different activities for first-year students, including another women's volleyball game, bowling, dancing and food.

All about iClickers
Buying books as a new student can be a different experience. First, students must print out their book list. This list has all the books needed for a student's course load. The books are organized on shelves by author's last name, and there is a section called the pallet zone generally for GE classes.
