The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held their 182nd semi-annual General Conference this weekend. According to attendees, it was a life-changing event when President Thomas S. Monson announced the age requirement change for missionaries. After the major announcement about missionaries serving at a younger age, Latter-day Saints also heard challenges from other leaders to stand out and be stronger disciples of Christ. Service and standards were a major theme of the conference for first time goers and regular attendees. Many say this conference was definitely the one to attend. As the crowds dispersed, with them went the message, go forth and serve.

President Thomas S. Monson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that the ages for missionaries would change effective immediately.

Helaman Halls was filled with shrieks, tears and disbelief as President Thomas S. Monson announced the change in the minimum age requirement for missionaries in Saturday morning's Conference session.

BYU's men's and women's swim and dive teams are the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation champions after competing against teams from around the west from Feb. 15 to 18. Coming out on top against eight other teams, the men beat out second place team UNLV 625-603.5. The women competed against 9 other teams and came in first with a score of 739, the second place team of UC Santa Barbra ending with a score of 699.
